Born in Providence on the Fourth of July, George M. Cohan gave us such songs as
YANKEE DOODLE DANDY, OVER THERE, YOU'RE A GRAND OLD FLAG, and GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROADWAY
and transformed Broadway. This fast paced show covers a 60-year period from his childhood in Rhode Island
through the vaudeville years to his 25 year reign over Broadway.

Jonathan Cooper, Ensemble, is thrilled to return to Matunuck for his fourth production. Previous Theatre By The Sea credits including Singin’ in the Rain, Evita, and Fiddler on the Roof. Jon recently graduated cum laude from Skidmore College with a B.S. in Dance, concentrating in performance and choreography, for which he received a Periclean Scholar Award nomination. Bob Freschi*, Jerry Cohan, is happy to be returning to Theatre By The Sea, having played Herbie in Gypsy and Van Buren in Damn Yankees here. On Broadway, Bob has appeared in Most Happy Fella, Me And My Girl, The 1940’s Radio Hour, Little Me, the original Annie, Irene, and most recently 70 Girls 70 for City Center’s ENCORES. Bob has played in theatres throughout the country, including Goodspeed Opera House, Kennedy Center, the Doolittle Theatre in L.A. and Yale Rep. Some favorite roles include Uncle Max in The Sound of Music, Senex in Forum and Papa in Meet Me in St. Louis. |

Eileen is from Connecticut and is summering with her grandfather in Snug Harbor. She has been on stage since she was seven and has done over thirty shows including Annie (Bushnell), Oliver! (Spirit of Broadway) and Fame (Hartford Children’s Theatre). |
