Welcome to 1960s where Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, has a big desire to dance on the popular local TV dance program, “The Corny Collins Show.” When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star, but she must use her newfound power to vanquish the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin and integrate a TV network - all without dentin’ her 'do! Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, this big fat Broadway sensation is filled with show-stopping tunes including"You Can't Stop the Beat," "Without Love" and "Good Morning Baltimore."

ERIN McCRACKEN (Tracy Turnblad) is tickled pink to be playing her dream role this summer! Regional credits include Evita, Oklahoma! starring Kelli O’Hara (Lyric Theatre, Oklahoma), A Christmas Carol (Westchester Broadway), Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors (Lees-McRae), Rizzo in Grease and Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Lees-McRae). NYC credits include Subways are for Sleeping (ODTC). Recordings: Spring Awakening Karaoke. OCU Grad, studied under the legendary Florence Birdwell. TOM GLEADOW (Edna Turnblad) has been performing in and around New England for the last thirty years. Recently he has been seen at The Gamm Theatre in such productions as A Doll’s House (Dr. Rank), Much Ado About Nothing (Dogberry), Romeo and Juliet (Lord Capulet), Glengarry Glen Ross (Dave Moss) and Awake and Sing (Uncle Morty), to name a few. Tom has also appeared in The Producers (Max Bialystock) at the New Bedford Festival Theatre, As You Like It (Amiens) at the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, and A Christmas Carol (Fezziwig) at Trinity Rep. However, his two greatest productions are his beautiful children: Charlotte and Max.

SEAN McGUIRK (Wilbur Turnblad) is delighted to be returning to Theatre By The Sea, where he made his initial debut in the 1978 production of Shenandoah! Theater credit highlights include co-starring in Mame with Juliet Prowse, A Few Good Men with Lou Diamond Phillips, and Hello, Dolly! with Judy Norton. Sean’s film work includes The Departed, Painting Me In, Anathema, No Way Back and Amistad. His television credits include Adventures of Pete and Pete, Dallas, Matlock, and Ryan’s Hope, as well as starring in PBS’s Murder At Harvard. Heartfelt thanks to Russell, Amiee and especially his wife and love, Marsha Gillette, for making this welcomed return possible!

Yvette Monique Clark (Motormouth Maybelle) has performed on international, national and regional stages in over 20 productions. She has also sung on national and local television shows, appeared in commercials and has been seen in magazines. Yvette’s favorite roles for the stage include Hairspray (Motormouth Maybelle), Crowns (Mother Shaw), Chicago (Mama Morton), Hello, Dolly! (Ernestina Money u/s Dolly), Showboat (Queenie), and Girls’ Night: The Musical (Liza). She is thrilled to be making her stage debut at Theatre By The Sea. And it’s about time! She gives thanks to God and her family, for without them, she would be nothing.

Rebecca Gibel (Velma Von Tussle) is thrilled to make her TBTS debut! Rebecca has performed across the country with Trinity Rep, Playhouse on the Square, The Gamm Theatre, The Arvada Center, and Creede Rep. Audiences may recognize Rebecca as Guenevere in Trinity Rep’s Camelot (IRNE Award Nomination) and Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest. Favorite roles include Hope in Urinetown (Denver Post Ovation Award Nomination), and Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Denver Post Readers’ Choice: Best Season by an Actress). Jay Leland Krottinger (Corny Collins) is from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Leading roles include: CityRep OKC, White Plains Performing Arts Center, Surflight Theatre, Waterfront Playhouse, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, Discoveryland! USA, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, College Light Opera Company, soloist Tulsa’s Signature Symphony Orchestra, lead male vocalist — Oceania Cruises M/S Nautica. Jay worked alongside Carol Channing, John Davidson, Carol Cook, Sam Harris, Rebecca Luker, Michael DeVries, and Jerry Dixon. Bachelors and Master of Music — Music Theatre, University of Central Oklahoma. Member of Pi Kappa Lamda — National Music Honor Society.

Zach Trimmer (Link Larkin) is thrilled to be making his TBTS debut in Hairspray, after having spent 15 months on the national tour in 2008-2009. National Tours: Hairspray, Avenue Q. Regional: Ogunquit Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse, John W. Engeman Theatre, VMT, etc. Favorite roles include Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, among others. Rosalie Burke (Amber Von Tussle) hails from Bucks County, PA. Rosalie is thrilled to be making her Theatre By The Sea debut! Favorite theatre credits include The Full Monty (Pam), All Shook Up! (Sandra), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Philia), The Glorious Ones (Isabella, Regional Premiere), Nine (Claudia), and The Last Five Years (Cathy). ANTONIO TILLMAN (Seaweed) is a graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts High School. He is a Theater BFA major at Virginia Commonwealth University. Recent roles include Seaweed (Riverside Theater), Angel in RENT (Firehouse Theater), for which he won the Richmond Theater Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor, Andre in Ain’t Misbehavin’ and the Scarecrow in The Wiz. He feels so blessed to be able to work for such a magnificent company.

ALEXA SHANAHAN (Penny Pingleton) is thrilled to be making her TBTS debut! A rising sophomore at Rider University, Alexa is majoring in Musical Theatre. She is also an accomplished dancer, pianist, and violinist. Past credits include The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Pickles), The Pajama Game (Poopsie), Bye Bye Birdie (Ursula), and Footloose (Wendy-Jo). She is grateful for this opportunity, and would like to extend a special thanks to her family and friends for never missing a show. Dad Look!

Lisa Finegold (Little Inez) is excited to be making her debut at Theatre By The Sea!! A recent graduate of the Boston Conservatory, Lisa holds a BFA in Musical Theatre. Past productions include West Side Story, RENT, Sweet Charity, Bat Boy! and ART’s Donkey Show. This fall you can see her in the national tour of Rock of Ages. As always, much thanks goes to the loving support of family and friends, and also to TBTS for such a great opportunity!!

Stacey Geer (Prudy Pingleton/Gym Teacher/Matron) is thrilled to return to Theatre By The Sea, where she appeared in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Muriel Eubanks). Regional credits include Gypsy (Tessie Tura) and Les Miserables with New Bedford Festival Theatre. Other favorites include Funny Girl (Fanny Brice), Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife) and the title role in Mame. Stacey is a full-time Mom, voice teacher, professional cantor, part-time actress, music history guest lecturer, and classical soloist. BA in Theatre ’91, BM in Classical Vocal Performance ’10 (Rhode Island College). Love and thanks to Greg and Sam!

JP SARRO (Harriman F. Spritzer/Principal/Mr. Pinky/ Guard, u/s Edna) is an Emerson College graduate and New England native, who recently made his TBTS debut in Man of La Mancha. EMILY BROCKWAY (Tammy, u/s Velma, Amber) is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Coastal Carolina University. Previous credits include Brigadoon (Cortland Repertory Theatre), Guys and Dolls, Hamlet (New Harmony Theatre), Proof (Atlantic Stage), Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls a new musical, The Music Man, Hedda Gabler, The Will Rogers Follies, Dancing at Lughnasa. ARIELLE KOOK (Brenda) thanks TBTS for welcoming her into the internship program! She has grown up all over the world including Maryland, Egypt, and Israel. Arielle is a rising senior musical theatre major at James Madison University,where she most recently appeared as Rachel in Reckless. Other roles include Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Marty in Grease, and Caroline in Letters to Sala.

NICOLE CALABRESE (Shelley) is honored to be performing at TBTS! She holds a BFA in Dance from SUNY Buffalo. She has performed as a dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines, The Rio Casino’s Show in the Sky (Las Vegas), Iron Beats (China), and Christmas on Ice and Magical Spirit of Ireland (The Palace Theater, Myrtle Beach). Regional Theater: West Side Story, The King and I, and Barry Manilow’s Copacabana (Artpark).

Derek Johnson (Brad, u/s Wilbur) recently graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. This is his first season with Theatre By The Sea and he’s very grateful to be a member of the intern program. Credits include Footloose (Bickle, Ren u/s), Floyd Collins (Reporter 2), CATS (Mungojerrie), Titanic (Hitchens, Latimer). Michael Baskowski (Fender) is happy to return to Theatre By The Sea, after previously appearing in A Chorus Line. A graduate of Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Michael is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at The Hartt School of Music. Other credits include Oklahoma!, Cabaret, The Music Man, and a Sondheim Revue performed at Carnegie Hall. He thanks his family and Rosemarie Boyden.

Jimmy Larkin (Sketch) is thrilled to be making his TBTS debut! Past credits include Reagle Music Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Turtle Lane Playhouse (IRNE Award for Best Performance by a Youth Actor), and Riverside TheatreWorks, among others. JAMES WELLS (IQ, u/s Corny, Link) is a recent graduate from Coastal Carolina University and is very excited to be spending his first summer in New England! Regional credits include The Rocky Horror Show, The Producers, RENT, Seven Brides, Man of La Mancha, and For the Glory: The Civil War Musical. RILEY BRACK (Duane) is thrilled to be making his Theatre By The Sea debut in Hairspray! He is currently pursuing his BFA in Musical Theater at The Boston Conservatory, where he has appeared as Tom Collins in RENT and Antonio in Twelfth Night. Jehbreal M. Jackson (Thad) is a graduate of The Juilliard School with a BFA in dance performance. He studied dance at the Dallas Black Dance Academy, W. E. Greiner Middle School of the Exploratory and Performing Arts, and at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Jehbreal has also been a featured vocalist with various jazz bands at Juilliard.
