COMPANY MANAGER
Theatre By The Sea, Matunuck RI NOW-September 2026 The historic Theatre By The Sea in Matunuck RI, is seeking an experienced Company Manager for its upcoming 2026 summer season! Come be a part of it! Employment from April 20 to Sept 20, with the season running through Sept 13. Candidate attributes: theatre loving team player, excellent at multi-tasking, strong work ethic, compassionate, kind, and a sense of humor. You should be prepared to work long and sometimes odd hours. A key requirement is a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record, and the ability to drive a 12-15 passenger van. The Company Management team needs to drive actors to and from all rehearsals and performances, with scheduled grocery and laundry runs weekly. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the coordination of travel and housing for actors and guest artists. The Company Manager along with the Assistant Company Manager will monitor and help in maintaining /cleaning the company housing. Company Management is responsible for getting housing ready for the season and for changing over rooms from one show to the next. Company Management team also provides crew meals during tech week, as well as arranging hospitality for up to 60 people. As the lead of the Company Management team; you will supervise and work closely with the Assistant Company Manager and Company Management Intern. This job requires excellent people and organizational skills, a passion for theatre and knowledge of basic AEA and IATSE rules and regulations. Excellent computer skills required as well. Employment runs in conjunction with the season running from May 11 through Sept 13. Candidate attributes: theatre loving team player, excellent at multi-tasking, strong work ethic, compassionate, kind, and a sense of humor. Sometimes work can be at odd hours of the morning or night. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the coordination of travel and housing for actors and guest artists. The Company Management team is responsible for getting housing ready for the season and for changing over rooms from one show to the next. Assisting in the needs of the cast, crew, management team, throughout the summer. The Company Management team also provides crew meals during tech week, as well as arranging hospitality for up to 60 people.
